Boating is one of the favorite pastimes for many people and it is a common recreational activity regardless of where you might be from. Many people fantasize about owning a boat, and in recent years that amount of private boat ownership has greatly increased. This is due in part to the various types of boats that are available and the technology involved in making them has contributed to their affordability. For most people there is some kind of a boat or canoe that will fit your budget.

Meanwhile, for every boat that is out there, their owners are always obsessed with the various accessories that go with them. From luxury seat cushions to sail kits and outboard motors, some of the boat accessories boat accessories are designed to contribute to the enjoyment and pleasure of the boating experience while others are more functional in purpose. There are some pretty sophisticated coolers, on-board tables and drink holders, as well as waterproof containers and storage devices. Even inflatable rafts are more advanced in structure today and they have an entire series of great accessories that will great a fun adventure in the water.

Goa Diverse History and Beautiful Beaches

Goa India has many interesting cultural heritage aspects and traditions that are not only interesting to tourists but fundamental to its residential population. While there are many diverse elements to the city and region, Hinduism is the prominent religion, as it is with all of India, much of the architecture, festivals and entertainment is reflective of this. Many tourists visit Goa throughout the year, and are eager to explore the many landmarks and cultural oriented aspects it possesses. Hinduism is an ancient tradition and one of the major religions of the world. There are two primary sacred texts, though there are many writings and oral belief traditions. The Goa hotels are happy to provide luxury accommodations and plenty of cultural information to its guests.

The Portuguese landed and settled in Goa in the early 16th century, and many of the buildings and art reflect the influence the Portuguese settlers had on the society. Meanwhile, the beautiful beaches and scenic views remain on of the strongest reasons tourists visit the area every year. Anjuna Beach is one of the more prominent beaches for the artistic crowds. It draws plenty of painters who are interested expressing on canvas the beautiful scenery. There are also plenty of ex-hippies found on the beach and everyone enjoys the all night parties that are found there throughout the year.

Baga Beach is located on the coast of the Arabian Sea. It is smaller and more quaint than many of the beaches, and provides a romantic setting for honeymooners and everyone else who seeks its charms. There are beachside restaurants that offer candle lit dinners, as well as more informal cafes and beach shack snack centers. There is a comfortable beach house that provides great accommodations and spectacular views. This is one of the most popular beaches for Western tourists, and for good reason. Water sports are common here, and fishing expedition tours are also available.

Unknown Beaches in Phuket

I found a nice small quiet beach in Phuket. Believe it or not, Laem Ka is not a very well known beach, apparently it’s main visitors are the locals. I found it just North-East of Rawai beach, which is in between Rawai and Chalong. I think since Laem Ka isn’t well marked with signposts, none really, is the reason why it’s not known. I must have driven by it countless of times going to the Rawai beach area and back to one of the many Luxury Phuket Hotels were I was staying and never noticed it before.

The beach seems to be undeveloped and basically off the tourist radar. When I got back to my hotel room, I did find it on Google Earth. There it was, unassuming and un-noticed by thousands of tourist. I also Googled the meaning of Laem Ka, which means Cape or Headland. I took a small unmarked road which goes across the headland and found a very nice area full of coconut trees. It seems to be private land, but owned by whom, I do not know. Whomever it is though, put up a funny looking dilapidated scarecrow at one point to make it very obvious not to go any further. Just above Laem Ka beach I found a small parking lot and one small vendors shack selling drinks and BBQ pork served with sticky rice. I had to go down a few steps to reach the beach. There were some sandy areas, but mostly that was separated by rocks stretching out for about 400 meters. I and a few other people were the only ones there! Fantastic, really. A beach in Phuket with only a few people on it.

The view across the clear inviting water was of some islands just offshore. I saw a sailing boat racing along the Chalong. I just came here for a quick look before I headed back to my hotel, but I found myself playing in the water and splashing about in my regular clothes. Next time, I’ll know to always have a swimsuit with me just in case I run into another unknown beach.
