The game of golf has a long and honored history stretching back several hundred years. The curriculum in most of these programs is very similar. There are classes in business, such as management, human resources, marketing, and sales. There are also classes specific to golf, such as hospitality, grounds management and, of course, time spent improving golf skills and techniques. Students usually complete an extended internship for course credit as part of their final year of studies to give them an idea of how to apply their newly acquired knowledge in the business world.
