New York’s First Urban Race

If you’re planning to visit New York in September, you’re in luck, because on September 25th, New York City will be hosting the first NYC Urban Race. This race is 8 miles long and there will be 3 engaging obstacles. If you’re thinking about participating, you’ll race across, under and over the amazing cityscape of New York City. The Urban Race guarantees to please all adrenaline seekers, experienced athletes of all disciplines, like novice racers to triathletes to weekend warrior racers.

All that’s necessary is that you’re able to run eight miles. that you can can walk, climb, jump and crawl. There are several hotles in New York that are nearby the starting point, which starts at 8am and runs along the West Side bike path of Riverside Park that is near 105th Street and goes all the way to downtown Manhattan. The challenging obstacles featured in the NYC Urban Race will require not only strength and endurance, but strategy as well; this race is where smarts can beat speed. You also might like to consider racing with your family, friends or co-workers, because teams of two or more are more than welcome to enter, and due to the Urban Race’s obstacles, might not be a bad strategy. There will be special area’s throughout the NYC Urban Race course where spectators will be positioned to cheer you on and there will also be a post Urban Race festival where you can meet all the other participants.
