Maps are the Best Souvenirs
Traveling is something that most people are familiar with. Many people pick out souvenirs while traveling also. But what many do not realize is that the best souvenir that could ever get is one that they actually used. Maps get people around and they make wonderful souvenirs because they actually helped the tourists get where they needed to go.
On the walls of my study are several maps from some of my favorite trips. I have a map of Austria, several maps of Vietnam and a map of South America. I have one map for South America because I have visited Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Chile. I don’t have enough wall for all of those maps. In my drawer there are many more. I add to my collection every year.
I feel that I will enjoy a map more than I will enjoy some sort of trinket from my travels. I buy my nephews presents while I travel but I do not want the clutter in my home. I’ve found that they only collect dust and make my house look messy. Anyone traveling on business or for a vacation will enjoy maps more than brick-a-brack.
